Its been awhile since I've been able to update my blog but here it goes..... We've come a long way from knowing nothing to learning something. My knowledge and understanding of satellite signals has grown and the personal desire for them has increased. More research and information discovered. I have continued to try and contact the radio station with out much hope but hope is still alive. The journey continues....

I think I've mentioned that I attend Capitol College in Laurel MD,and one of my goals is to have a full on Foxhunt at my campus. With that being said I've been researching for local fox hunting sponsors or organizations that would like to sponsor an event with the college. We would be honored for all sponsorship that could be available and is available. My search has led me to a local Laurel MD radio station that sponsor foxhunts. Hopefully we will be able to work with them in the future.... My research continues.....
Weekend Update
Trying to build a antenna of your own is not easy at all. I would have liked to go into Home Depot and purchase all of the equipment I thought was necessary, but to my surprise they didn't have everything I needed. I was able to purchase the piece of wood I would be using but the iron rods they didn't have. Have to keep looking to purchase those.

Hey,
I've started this internship where the objective is to connect and get a radio signal from a satelite that is currently in orbit. The satelite can be of any choice of mines but the mission is to connct and get signals. There is equipment that has been sitting and my job is to make it work again. I'm very excited about this mission and everything that it will bring.
Starting out in order to operate the radio transmitter and be "on the air" I have to obtain my HAM license.
At the current moment I'm reading my HAM license book and taking online exams to sharpen my skills for the actual test.
